World Vision (WVI) is a Christian relief and humanitarian organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for communities, especially poor children in remote areas. WVI serves everyone, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. WVI has been present in Vietnam since 1988. Since then, WVI has coordinated with the Government, the people of Vietnam, and other international non-governmental organizations in implementing relief, development and policy advocacy programs in disadvantaged communities. The project “Tackling Modern Slavery in Vietnam” Phase 3 – Component “Providing Reintegration Packages for Victims of Trafficking and Vulnerable Migrants” (TMSV3) is funded by the UK Home Office through the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and jointly implemented by WVI, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Tinh province and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Quang Binh province since 2023. The project aims to support victims of trafficking and vulnerable migrants to successfully reintegrate the community in terms of livelihood, employment, healthcare and other support.
The project's areas include Nghi Xuan district and Can Loc district of Ha Tinh province; Bo Trach district and Dong Hoi city of Quang Binh province. The activities of the TMSV3 project include:
Conduct screening and needs assessment.
Organize workshops on business planning and livelihood development.
Provide direct support packages based on the needs of beneficiaries.
Monitor and evaluate projects and provide technical guidance.
Document successful reintegration models.
Closing workshops
Up to now, the project has supported nearly 100 beneficiaries who are victims of trafficking and vulnerable migrants to participate in project activities. Thanks to its effective operation, the project continues to receive additional funding from the donor to support up to 80 more beneficiaries in Quang Binh province. To assist project staff in promptly implementing project activities in the coming time, the project wants to recruit 01 volunteer.
1. Responsibilities and duties of volunteer
Support project staff in preparing logistics for project activities and collecting relevant financial documents.
Support project staff in obtaining quotations, tracking orders and collecting financial documents related to purchasing support packages for beneficiaries.
Support project staff in filing and storing financial documents.
Support other administrative tasks for Project Manager when requested.
2. Responsibilities of Project Manager and Project Staff.
Provide instructions to volunteers.
Coordinate, guide and supervise activities performed by volunteers.
Monitor and guide volunteers to make monthly payment requests.
1. Knowledge
College or University graduate in fields related to social work, community development, economics.
2. Related skills and experience
Good computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel
Good teamwork skills
Good communication skills
Experience in purchasing goods for development projects is preferred.
Experience in community development is preferred.
