Increasing the Resilience to Risks of Ethnic Minorities (IREM)
In Dien Bien, over 20,000 ethnic minority people participated in community-based disaster risk reduction and Safe School initiatives. The project strengthened school infrastructure, trained local leaders, and improved early warning systems across 29 schools.
Digitalization for Resilience
In Thanh Hoa, 1,500 people, including women and ethnic minorities, were equipped with digital tools to enhance climate preparedness. The project introduced localized weather alerts and digital learning platforms for community risk planning.
Hai Phong City Resilient to Climate Change and Disaster Risks
A multi-sectoral initiative reaching over 60,000 people across schools, communities, and small businesses. The project raised awareness, built local disaster response capacity, and promoted climate-smart livelihoods in high-risk areas.
Restoring degraded landscapes and building nature-based livelihoods for ethnic minority communities.
Regreening Communities in Dien Bien
Working with over 12,000 residents, this project promotes sustainable agroforestry on sloping lands. Ethnic minority households are trained in natural farming methods that regenerate soil, restore local ecosystems, and boost income.
Ba Thuoc Farmer-Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR)
In Thanh Hoa, 134 farmers received training in soil health and integrated pest management, while 30 households piloted forest-based chicken farming using Indigenous Microorganism (IMO) techniques—enhancing income while protecting biodiversity.
RGC–Quang Ngai: Empowering Communities through Agroforestry (ESAR)
This locally-led initiative supported 450 people, including farmers and government partners, to adopt agroforestry models that increase resilience to climate change and promote long-term sustainability.
Driving clean energy adoption, promoting sustainable consumption, and reducing environmental hazards.
Respect Environment from Our Stoves
In Nam Giang and Thuong Xuan, 6,500 people gained access to clean, energy-efficient stoves. Designed for high combustion efficiency and low emissions, these stoves improve health, reduce firewood consumption, and cut household energy costs.
Solar Power for Schools in Huong Hoa
More than 1,400 students now study in classrooms powered by solar energy. This project improves education and healthcare infrastructure while reducing carbon emissions and enhancing climate resilience in remote schools.
Waste No Waste
In Hai Phong, nearly 19,000 people were engaged through local campaigns to adopt Reduce–Reuse–Recycle practices. The project strengthened community waste management systems and encouraged behavioral change for long-term environmental stewardship.

Drives nature-positive outcomes by regenerating degraded land and promoting sustainable, climate-smart agricultural practices.
