World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization working to improve the quality of life of people, especially children, who are marginalized and living in poverty. World Vision helps all who are in need regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or gender.
World Vision International in Viet Nam (WVIV) is supported by multiple countries and funded through a combination of sponsorship programs (majority) and Private Non-Sponsorship (PNS)/grants. WVIV operates across multiple provinces and implements Area Programs (APs) that focus on communities with high levels of poverty, often including ethnic minority populations. In addition to APs, WVIV implements various Special and Grant Projects to address the specific needs of vulnerable children in both AP and non-AP areas.
WVIV is headquartered in Hanoi, while majority of staff are based locally in Area Programs and project sites across the country which enables them to work closely with government partners and communities on a daily basis.
This position provides strategic leadership in donor relations, partnership development, resource acquisition, and grant compliance to strengthen WVIV’s funding portfolio and long-term sustainability. The role drives high-quality donor engagement, supports organizational leadership of the Grants Acquisition and Management function, builds institutional capacity, and ensures that funding is secured and managed in full compliance with donor requirements.
I - RESOURCE ACQUISITION
Acquire new public grants from bilateral and multilateral donors, and commercial contracts.
Conduct Go/No-Go analysis
Facilitate grant proposal development in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and relevant partners.
Work closely with Support Offices, partners, and relevant teams from the design process until project start-up for assigned proposals.
Assist in updating capacity statements for key sectors in collaboration with technical and communications teams.
Proactively search for and follow-up on new grant opportunities.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting on GAM through managing funding acquisition information (including grant profiles) on the iMPAQ system, manual grant tracker, and project profiles.
Work with Communications and technical teams to develop communication products for grant acquisition.

DONOR RELATIONS AND PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Develop and deliver an annual donor engagement plan, updated on a monthly basis.
Ensure donor meetings are scheduled and post-donor-visit action plans are followed-up and implemented in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with principal donors and understand donor’s emerging priorities.
Keep an up-to-date donor/partner mapping with input from Technical Programme and Zonal Managers to inform partnering decisions and prepositioning for grant opportunities that require a consortium.
Assist in creating and delivering a clear and structured communication strategy to engage with donors and partners aligned with WVIV’s GAM business plan.
II - MANAGEMENT AND CAPACITY BUILDING
Support the Grants Acquisition and Compliance Manager in providing strategic leadership for the Grants Acquisition and Management function of WVIV.
Coordinate to build plan of GAM capacity development for cross-functional staff, including conducting need assessment and identifying staff for relevant trainings (e.g: Proposal Pro 3,…).
Provide coaching and support to WVIV staff on Proposal Pro 3 and other GAM-related courses.
Facilitate quarterly grants cafés to review progress, challenges, and lessons learned.
III - COMPLIANCE
Coordinate to collect inputs for grant agreement and signing.
Conduct grant handover and coordinate compliance training.
Work closely with relevant teams and external partners to ensure compliance with donor requirements including regular meetings, monitoring and reporting.
Ensure that grant technical models and outcomes are properly handed over to the GAM team to support future pitching and grant acquisition.

V - GENERAL/ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as an ambassador of World Vision’s brand by following WV’s brand and communications guidelines when working with external partners and developing communications products (print, audio, or video).
Take responsibility for personal security, accurately identify and assess risks, and respond appropriately; make good faith efforts to safeguard other WVIV staff and property, in line with WVIV’s security training and guidance.

A minimum of five years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated experience and successes in project design, competitive proposal coordination and proposal writing
Demonstrated knowledge about and experience with major donors (FCDO, Australian DFAT, New Zealand MFAT, USG, the EU, ECHO, Nordics, and other bilateral and multilateral donors)
A university degree in management, marketing, communications, social sciences, development, or a related field.
Fluent English
Computer literate (Office 365).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and English written and oral communication skills.
Proven analytical/problem-solving abilities.
Cross-cultural experience, understanding, and sensitivity.
Experience with commercial contract bidding
Understanding of monitoring and evaluation.
Research, data and information-gathering, and analysis.
